The trick to beating Kariya lies solely in attacking him every moment you get. His attacks get worse if you let him develop them, but hit him with a pin and he'll be knocked off guard. If he flies up into the air, he's about to unleash his most devastating attack; hit him quickly or run away from the flame that leaps away from him to prevent heavy damage from being inflicted.
