Kitaniji is the Conductor of the Reaper's Game during The World Ends With You. Although the player sees him many times over the course of the game, particularly with Konishi, his true identity is not revealed until much later, when he appears to Neku.

Due to the game he played with the Composer, it is speculated that he had an entry fee as well.

The Conductor and leader of the Reapers, able to stop time and terminate foes instantly.

In Another Day, Kitaniji is one of the Black Skullers who steals pins at the bogus Tin Pin Slammer slam-off, along with Uzuki, Kariya, and Higashizawa.

Kitaniji as he appears as a Noise sprite.
