Noise are the enemies that Neku and the other Players must fight in order to receive points in the Reaper's Game. They range from the weak and easy to beat (such as the Dixiefrog that Neku first encounters on his first day in the game) to the extremely difficult (such as the Panthera Cantus).

Origin

It is not known how exactly Noise are made; however, from Rhyme's transformation into a Noise, one can infer that they are the residue of erased Players. They are summoned by Reapers as obstacles to the Players, and can be found in any area when Neku scans. When Neku and his partner defeat Noise, the Noise are erased again.
